Oil & Gas ERP

A centralized Oil & Gas reporting ERP designed to manage complex pricing, trading, and accrual reports with role-based access, automated exports, and enterprise-grade data workflows.

W&T Offshore, Texas, USA

Project at a Glance

The client required a specialized ERP platform capable of managing and generating highly structured oil and gas reports, including daily pricing, trading analytics, accrual calculations, and seasonal averages. The goal was to transform fragmented reporting processes into a secure, centralized system that allowed teams to edit, analyze, and export operational and financial data efficiently.

We developed a reporting-focused ERP solution tailored specifically for oil and gas operations, enabling structured management of gas pricing, oil trading data, Argus differentials, accrual calculations, and market analytics. The system introduced advanced access control based on user roles and Active Directory integration, ensuring that sensitive data and editing capabilities were restricted according to organizational hierarchy.

The platform included a comprehensive admin interface for managing users, reports, pricing calendars, and data workflows while offering engineering-grade precision, automated export options, and enhanced UI/UX for daily operational reporting.

Solution & Implementation

We engineered a secure, enterprise-ready reporting ERP focused on accuracy, governance, and usability for oil and gas operational teams.

Core implementation highlights included:

  • Role-Based Access Control & Security: Advanced Access Control List (ACL) implementation with navigation-level permissions, route restrictions, and Active Directory integration to enforce enterprise security standards.
  • Centralized Reporting Ecosystem: Structured modules for Gas Reports, Oil Reports, Accrual Reports, Daily Pricing, First-of-Month (FOM) Reports, Seasonal Averages, Argus Differentials, and Oil Trading Calendar management.
  • High-Precision Financial Calculations: Reporting precision standardized to six decimal points to meet industry financial and pricing accuracy requirements.
  • Dynamic Reporting Interfaces: Enhanced UI/UX for overview reports, daily pricing dashboards, and analytics views with interactive charts, zoom functionality, advanced filtering, and data visualization improvements.
  • Reusable CRUD Framework: Development of a scalable CRUD architecture used for trading calendars, user management, and future report modules, enabling rapid expansion of ERP functionality.
  • Automated Export & Data Distribution: Flexible exporting tools supporting tables, charts, FTP-based data transfers, and formatted reporting outputs for operational teams.
  • Date-Based Data Controls: Month and year selectors introduced across pricing and analytics modules to simplify historical reporting and data comparisons.
  • API & Integration Layer: Custom API development enabling structured data access and synchronization with external systems and reporting tools.
  • Operational Efficiency Enhancements: Improved navigation structure, reporting layouts, table filtering, and data organization to streamline daily workflows for analysts and traders.

The architecture prioritized reporting accuracy, enterprise governance, and scalable expansion to support additional analytical and operational modules.
